Hand Therapy
Hand Therapy involves activities aimed at improving the motor skills of the entire limb. We work with the child on proper grip during writing, enhancing hand-eye coordination, perfecting bilateral coordination and lateralization, and developing sensory perception. The sessions are conducted by a psychologist with a certification in hand therapy.
Hand Therapy is designed for children who:
- Have various types of sensory sensitivities.
- Experience difficulties with hand coordination during daily activities, such as tying shoelaces.
- Struggle with hand-eye coordination.
- Have trouble holding writing tools properly, resulting in messy handwriting.
- Exhibit poor posture during table tasks
- Face challenges in learning new manual and manipulative skills.
- Find it difficult or struggle with tasks requiring precise hand movements, such as cutting, coloring, or assembling.
In short, hand therapy is aimed at children with various issues related to the hand and upper limb, who need support in improving functionality, motor skills, and overall quality of life.
